Where are you originally from? 
Willows, CA (Near Chico). I moved to Reno to attend UNR and stayed after school for my job.

Why did you want to become a civil engineer?
I was super interested in water (treatment & distribution) and loved the problem solving and applying math and science to real world issues. I was also interested in a career that makes a positive impact in my community.

How did you find out about ASCE? How has it affected your career?
I got involved with ASCE through the concrete canoe competition team through the student chapter of ASCE at UNR. My involvement in ASCE/concrete canoe has allowed me to make some amazing friends and benefit from various professional opportunities.
