​Kate has been an engineer for about 6 years and works for the Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) as a Staff 2 Scoping Specialist. She is part of the Scoping Team where she primarily conducts research, attend meetings, conduct site visits and puts together Scoping Reports that include an evaluation of the roadway of interest, cost estimates, preliminary designs, etc. to summarize what needs to be completed on an NDOT maintained roadway to keep it safe for both pedestrians and drivers. In her free time she enjoys reading, cooking/baking and when the weather is nice out she likes to play tennis with friends.
