Mike Wetterau, P.E.
Where are you originally from?
MW: "I grew up outside Philadelphia, PA and moved to Michigan for high school. I eventually moved to Colorado to earn a degree from the University of Colorado, Boulder."
Why did you want to become a civil engineer?
MW: "I enjoyed problem solving, wanted to improve communities, and work in the field of STEM. So civil engineering seemed like the right career path."
How did you find out about ASCE? How has it affected your career?
MW: "A coworker told me that the YMF board at the time is expecting me at their next meeting and that I need to attend. ASCE has had a positive impact on my leadership, and soft skills. As well as, build relationships with my peers in the industry. "
What is your dream vacation and why?
MW: "My dream vacation is to raft the Grand Canyon section of the Colorado River."
